3d Scanning


In the first process of 3d profile design is the scanning by a 3d digitizer .Konica Minolta's latest 3d digitizer vivid is using for the process. When a laser line is distorted around an object, 3D scanners can recognize the part's 3D shape. This works much the same way that humans see depth by processing images from two different eyes. This is known as triangulation.Small scan patches are often pieced together by overlapping common data. A new, faster and more accurate technique called photogrammetry automatically stores the location of each scan.





After the scanning our 3d graphic artists start to work on it using


a specialised application software for the 3d scanning technology.






Its a series of designing to get the final 3d profile..some times the scanning is not accurate are expected ..so we need to work out to get the real output. Shaping the 3d photo tooks more time with connecting scanned meshes..And its include boundary editing,filling the missed parts,face smoothing..etc..when we done the first process then it comes the 3d laser point making..here we can adjust the dots and black and white parts of the object.






Finally the mesh will have a laser pointed look..Then a Laser controller software convert the file to laser machine format. In Laser controller software we can adjust the size and direction and depth of the 3d object.Usually there will be a 3d dimensional measures will show like x,y z format.





How the Laser Machine works?
Laser engraving in inside Crystal technique uses high intensity focused laser beam to induce non linear absorption phenomena within transparent material, and as a result, microscopic cracks are generated on a localized spot, which makes the spot look white by multiple light reflection. Desired image is created point by point with laser beam being moved in two or three dimensions. Letters, logotypes and real three dimensional pictures can be engraved inside crystals and galsses using this device.
